A tribute to where it all began! During a transformative summer in London, we found ourselves tucked away in a charming Notting Hill flat. What started as an exciting UK adventure soon evolved to become the birthplace of Row & Whit.
While sightseeing is always worthwhile, we believe the best way to experience London is through the eyes of a Row & Whit traveler. Below, you'll find our perfect long-weekend itinerary.
Day One
Check in
Check in to The Bloomsbury, the most lovely hotel in the heart of the Bloomsbury neighborhood in central London.
Liberty London
Walking through Liberty can feel like walking through a charming gallery. From beauty to sleepwear to interiors, they have the best curation. It is extra fun to buy something Liberty print while you are there!
Dishoom
Dishoom is the best Indian food we have ever had! Keep in mind they do not take reservations under six, so if you have a smaller group, be ready to get a drink and wait or go at an off time. It’s worth it!
See a Show
We believe you can’t go wrong with the classic West End Musicals. Some of our favorite shows include Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and so many more.
Day Two
Breakfast
Grab a quick breaky at Joe & the Juice or enjoy a leisurely morning breakfast at The Breakfast Club. You won’t go wrong with either! Both restaurants have multiple locations throughout the city, so you’re covered there.
Tate Modern
We adore the Tate Modern. A beautiful modern art museum, it is also conveniently located near your next stop! Stroll the Millennium Footbridge to get from the Tate to…
Borough Market
While it can get a bit chaotic, we could spend hours at Borough Market. From wine spritzers to chocolate-covered strawberries to paella, there is something for everyone’s palate. Our pro tip: go hungry!
Churchill War Rooms and/or Harrods
Whether a shopaholic, history buff, or both… Churchill War Rooms + Harrods are great activities unique to London. Plan ahead and make sure you have tickets to the War Rooms.
Ivy Chelsea Garden
The interiors here are to die for! The food and drinks are delicious! Ivy Chelsea Garden is the perfect way to end your first full day in the city.
Day Three
Notting Hill Day !
Breakfast
Grab a quick smoothie at Juice Baby or enjoy a dining experience at Daylesford. Both healthy options, the choice is yours! Granger & Co. is another great bet for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Portobello Market + hit some shops
From art and antiques to pastries, there is much to love. Don’t miss some of our favorite boutiques, including Carmel, Aime, Couverture & the Garbstore, and Flabelus.
Pub Crawl
A rite of passage, Notting Hill is home to some of the best pubs. Here is a list of our favorites: Cock and Bottle, Prince Bonapart, The Princess Royal, The Sun in Splendor, Walmer Castle.
Electric Diner
Cozy up with a burger and fries in a booth at Electric Diner. Tip: You get 50% off your meal when going to the cinema next door.
Electric Cinema
Lastly, unwind from a long day with a film at Electric Cinema. Our favorite movie theater experience, cozy up with a glass of wine and sink into the iconic leather chairs.
Day Four
Coffee + walk through Kensington Gardens / St. James / Hyde Park
Our favorite pastime is to grab a takeaway coffee and stroll through the park. Great people watching, lovely scenery, and a beverage to keep you warm on a chilly morning.
Columbia Road Flower Market
A hidden London gem! The Columbia Road flower market is a must if you find the time. Takes place on Sundays only.
Farewell High Tea at Sketch London
Perhaps the most thought of “English” activity, what a great way to say farewell to an idyllic long weekend across the pond!
