From a leisurely breakfast to strolling the market, we believe there’s nothing better than slowing down and embracing the West Coast lifestyle. Beach, mountains, music… This is your sign to take the trip!
Stay: Palihouse
Palihouse Santa Barbara truly feels like an escape. The quirky, chic, and cozy interiors set the perfect stage for a lovely stay.
Breakfast: Palihouse
Perhaps our favorite space in the hotel, besides lounging at the pool, is the Palihouse outdoor courtyard. With the sound of water from the fountain and birds chirping, enjoy an omelet and cappuccino under the pink-striped umbrellas.
Walk (or bike) to the Farmers Market
Just a short walk or bike ride from Palihouse, the Santa Barbara Farmers Market is truly immaculate. With colorful produce, gorgeous flowers, and locals picking up their weekly favorites, you’ll look up from the stands and realize you’re surrounded by mountains.
Lunch: Santa Barbara Public Market
The Santa Barbara Public Market is just a short walk from the farmers market. The cutest food court we’ve ever been to! Our lunch of choice: Little Bird’s Greek salads, followed by Rori’s fresh mint ice cream.
Shop: Montecito Country Mart
One of three Country Marts in Southern California, Montecito Country Mart is a true gem of a shopping experience. Perfectly aligned with the Montecito aura, we left looking aspirationally at nearby real estate. A girl can dream.
Dinner: Bettina (in Montecito Country Mart)
The perfect way to wrap up your Montecito pit stop—pizza and orange wine at Bettina is a must. If the pink picnic tables don’t sell you, the food will.
Drinks: Back at Palihouse
Make the most of your Palihouse stay by coming full circle for a drink before your night out. Whether cozying up at the bar or taking it back to the courtyard with a deck of cards, it’s the best way to soak in the Palihouse experience.
Concert: Santa Barbara Bowl
Perhaps our favorite concert venue we've ever been to, the Santa Barbara Bowl, is just a short walk from the hotel. Best of all, you’ll see everyone from the neighborhood walking too. A true local experience—end your ideal day enjoying music in the mountains.
